Anything Can Be! (Unleash Your Creativity)

Howdy folks! 

I wanted to share a poem with you all by the incomparable Shel Silverstein called, "Listen To the Mustn'ts."

I've kind of hit a weird, personal renaissance in my 30's where I'm just down to try nearly anything. I had stifled so many ideas and chances in my life because I figured I'd be told they were stupid, or that they "didn't fit," or that they went against "norms." The only "Norms" I ever cared about was the dude from Cheers, and Norm MacDonald. Either way, I just kept my little ideas to myself and created a safe little world of fantasy and intrigue for myself, but at some point that dam felt like it had to break. I realized that I don't want to spend time in organizations or with people who refuse to change or to hear ideas. With every "no" I knew I didn't need to be there. With every immediate rejection, I felt emboldened to look elsewhere. 

I guess what I'm trying to say is that life is too short to bottle up your ideas and your creative interests without finding some way to share them with the world and try to facilitate change. We should always be trying new things and experimenting with fresh ideas! If it doesn't work? Okay then we tried! If it does work? You're a dang superhero! 

So when you're grappling with the status quo, when you're being a disruptor to improve your life and the lives of others, when you're staring anxiety and fear in the face and commanding them to step aside, you're opening the door for others to do the same! Don't get in your own way. When you step forward, others will follow. When you share your ideas, others may be inspired to do the same! 

A mighty roar often beings as a whisper, so don't be afraid to share your secrets!
